On Wednesday, July 31 at 1pm EST, the Lenfest Ocean Program hosted an informational Microlab webinar to provide background about the October 2019 Ideas Lab to Identify Research Priorities for Shifting Marine Species, which will take place in Washington, DC, from October 21-23. A recording of the one-hour webinar can be viewed below.
The three-day Ideas Lab workshop, co-hosted by the Lenfest Ocean Progam, the David and Lucile Packard Foundation, and the Biodiversity Funder’s Group, will bring together scientists, managers, stakeholders, and funders for a collaborative discussion about the future of fisheries in the face of climate change. The goal of the workshop is to generate research priorities and kickstart the funding of key research projects.
During the summer of 2019, the Lenfest Ocean Program held an open call for participants to attend October’s Ideas Lab designed to generate priority research questions for funding consideration. The application period closed on August 22, 2019.
