Webinar on Developing Recommendations to Estimate Bycatch for the Marine Mammal Protection Act Import Provisions

On Wednesday, August 15, 2018, Dr. André Punt, Dr. Tessa Francis, and Dr. Margaret Siple provided an overview of the Marine Mammal Bycatch Working Group, an international team of scientists that aims to assist nations seeking to comply with the Marine Mammal Protection Act (MMPA) Import Provisions. During the webinar, the scientists provided an overview of the four projects the working group will tackle:

  2. Estimating Bycatch: Best Practices Guide for Scientists and Managers
  3. Helping Managers Explore Options: An Interactive Online App
  4. Extended Evaluation of the PBR Approach: An Academic Publication
