Webinar on Predicting Near-Term Fisheries Shifts Under Climate Change
NOAA

On Wednesday, July 1, 2020, Dr. Malin Pinsky, Dr. Alexa Fredston, and Mr. Brandon Muffley presented their work to test whether dynamic range models can accurately forecast how the distributions fished species will change over the next 1-10 years. The team will focus on four species along the U.S. East Coast – shortfin squid, spiny dogfish, summer flounder, and gray triggerfish. If successful, the researchers will make their forecast system publicly available to potentially be applied to other fisheries.
